Carol Chaput
Silver Mesa cover: "This is Us Tomorrow"
Carol Chaput’s Silver Mesa is featured as the cover of Fiesta Brava’s new CD, This Is Us Tomorrow. The band is based in Northampton, MA and “mines a particular sound half born of folk and half born of punk, which results in a warm, dramatic form of what people are calling “indie rock” these days. Fiesta Brava is interested in literate and emotive pop music, marrying tuneful melodies with cathartic and insightful lyrics. The band’s sound ranges from hushed songs featuring banjo and almost-whispered vocals to driving rhythms with mounting guitar freakouts.”

Fiesta Brava plays shows throughout New England. Their CDs can be found online in most major and independent outlets, as well as download and streaming sites such as iTunes, CD Baby, Amazon.com, emusic, and Rhapsody. Fiesta Brava was featured in The Valley Advocate's "Behind the Beat." Check out the article at http://www.valleyadvocate.com/article.cfm?aid=11855

This Is Us Tomorrow is due out April 19, 2013, and there will be a CD release show at the Iron Horse, Northampton, MA that night (tickets $8 in advance, $10 at the door). Visit the band’s website at fiestabravamusic.com. You can preview tracks, get tour dates, and see photos there, on Facebook at www.facebook.com/fiestabravamusic, and on YouTube at Fiesta Brava Music.

Silver Mesa has been exhibited at various galleries in Connecticut and New York. The oil painting incorporates ground minerals, powdered earth pigments, iron oxide, and silver. It is in the collection of Jeff Steblea. Carol Chaput’s website is carolchaput.com.
