    I work in oil, acrylic, graphite, colored pencil, watercolor, silverpoint, metal leaf, and powdered earth pigments. My assemblages are created with found, inherited, and collected objects.


    My career spans almost seven decades; throughout that time, my work has been exhibited throughout New England and in the mid-Atlantic states and in New York and Washington DC. I have been featured in numerous group and solo exhibitions and have created book and CD illustrations and covers. My work is included in private collections as well as various state and corporate collections.

  • My mixed media work,"Trunk" was awarded Third Prize by juror Mark D. Mitchell in the 76th Annual Connecticut Artists Exhibition, on view through March 13th. Slater Memorial Museum, 108 Crescent Street, Norwich, CT 06360. Museum Hours: Tues.-Fri. 9 am - 4 pm; Sat. & Sun. 1 pm - 4 pm.

  • Poetry Reading at the Clinton Art Gallery

    I will be reading my poetry at the Clinton Art Gallery on Sunday, October 20 as part of the 2019 Sunday Series. The reading, also featuring poet Ariana Maya Buckley, begins at 2 pm in the Gallery, 20 East Main Street, Clinton, CT. The Sunday Poetry Series are free and open to the public. Wine, drinks, and refreshments will be served and books are available for sale and signing following the reading.

    A collection of my poems Field Notes was published by Dogwood Press and my work has appeared in a number of poetry collections, including Potpourri, Calliope, The Red Fox Review, Earth Day Poems (CT-DEP), Stray Branch, and she was the recipient of the Mark Van Doren Poetry Award. I am the author of The Girl Below the Line, a novel of the Triangle Waist Company fire. A long-time environmental and peace activist, human right, climate justice, and social concerns strongly influence my work.

    I am co-hosting this exhibit with sculptor Rachel Miller in the Upper Gallery at Canton's Gallery on the Green.
    My works from the series Field Notes and assemblages from The Last Encampment will be on view.
    The exhibit will run from August 30 - September 28, 2019
    The Opening Reception--free and open to the public--is Saturday, August 31 from 6-9 pm. ALL ARE INVITED.
    Gallery hours are Friday through Sunday from 1 - 5 pm or by appointment

  • Arts Center East ANIMALIA Exhibit

    I have three works--Io, Enchanted*, Bird Woman, and Elephant Topography in the Arts Center East juried ANIMALIA Exhibit. All are invited to the Opening Reception, Sunday. July 21 from 2 - 4 pm. Exhibit dates are July 21 through August 18, 2019. Gallery Hours are Thursday through Sunday, 1 - 5 pm.
